However, there are rich and powerful actors in society both private and Gvt whose interests are hurt by it. They wan CBDC ruled by them. Catch is, that have enough funds they can lose in order to kill bitcoin. They also have control of laws and regulatory that can hit bitcoin hard. Think Soros and his infamous manipulation of British Pound.

#Bitcoin being "hit hard" won't kill it. The governments can ban themselves from it but what will it say about #freedom of speech and property rights? How long can this ban last? #China banned Bitcoin multiple times, #HongKong is [going to have ETFs](https://cointelegraph.com/news/hong-kong-financial-regulator-spot-crypto-etfs).

#Nigeria banned Bitcoin a couple years ago, a few days ago they just gave up and [reversed the ban](https://www.forbes.com/sites/abubakarnurkhalil/2023/12/24/nigerian-central-bank-issues-circular-reversing-2021-bitcoin-ban/) because it was impossible to do in a first place.
