This is a common mistake. Many people put an LNBC Lightning invoice in the Lightning field on Nostr. This is incorrect.

It's okay. It's a bit confusing because different clients call this different things. Some will say LUD06, LUD16, Lightning address, Lightning or some other form. No matter what, you'll want to enter either one or two things here.

It's either going to be a Lightning address that looks like an email address or a Lightning invoice that starts with LNURL...

Both of these types of Lightning payment addresses or invoices can be reused. This is what you want. This is key.

If you're entering LNBC...this is most likely a one time payment invoice. This is not what you want.

This chart is a few days old, but... the yellow line is probably spam, real users are closer to red or blue. The orange (LNURL-enabled) is ALOT lower. Considering everyone I know on here is a bitcoiner with it enabled, I assume that the Asian users (the portion that ISN'T spam) isn't YET orange pilled. We gotta get them into Bitcoin! We have to find a way to make a tutorial to show enabling Lightning and doing zaps in Mandarin (and maybe Cantonese too, I think that's what they speak in HK)

I'd guess we're somewhere around the average of the bottom three lines as many people test new clients with burner accounts and many burners add contacts and fill out bio information.
