Just look closely at the team developing it and why they made privacy to be optional instead of default.

I half listened to an interview where it was for convenience when forking bitcoin initially but you can now use it privately fully now no?

Not really. Basically the tech was never private nor the team makes a proper effort for that, plus all the evil stuff they've done over and over again to screw users and how they were exposed often for that.
