I always wondered: if we all buy our stuff on Amazon, doesn't money flow out of our local community to Amazon until there's nothing left? Amazon doesn't buy stuff from my locality, so the flow of money is one-way. Where does the money come from in our community? Trade? Other lucky coincidences or remote workers? Tourism? I don't know how it works but I feel like I should.
