Whatever happened to basic phone call/texting etiquette? As far as I'm concerned, if you're calling someone for the first time, you must introduce yourself before starting a conversation. Don't just assume the person recognizes your voice or number or that caller ID shows your name. Just a quick introduction with your name, company and why you're calling. That's all you need to do.
