ah maybe i am confusing things. I saw a lightning channel id in yhe profile settings. thought i'd connect the two.
You mean the LN address field?

You need a lightning address for that. Again with getalby.com you can get a lightning address and use your own lightning channel.
Otherwise there are custodial lightning address providers.. Strike, wallet of satoshi, minibits
