the sun isn't even all of what's at play, the whole reason why all of this is happening is the milky way galaxy... the sun's magnetic field is being disrupted too, by the same thing, and the sun's magnetic shield is almost more important to the state of our solar system and our planet than our earth's magnetic field
also, you should watch Plan 9 from Outer Space... in that part of the story is these aliens are trying to stop humans from... i forget what it was... solar energy? because it would make the sun catch fire and blow up

The Suspicious Observers youtube channel is a good place to start seeing stuff about the galactic current sheet and geomagnetic excursions... he presents a credible interpretation of the data of solar flare activity over the last 170 years since the Carrington Event in 1859 fits an exponential decay curve heading towards a field reversal sometime in the next 30 years
it will mean a lot of really bad storms like Helene and increased rainfall, more seismic and volcanic activity, increased radiation reaching the earth, more auroras further from the poles from solar activity far less than ever caused this much in recorded history
