Seriously, how could this have passed QA?
My gut tells me the CEO has a ginormous ego, the original firmware team quit, marketing is CMO is running the show. No other explanation, they can't go back because they lost the ppl who could roll back. Who in their right mind pushes something that fucked out and kill the downgrade to keep using the old app till things smooth out.
Makes sense, not uncommon to suffer from one way upgrades due to insufficient expertise. Coupled SW upgrade with HW also a likely culprit, I heard possibly related to some headphones. Which would really mean marketing jumped the shark!
