TBH this does not make me want to go to Nostrdam. In recent years I'm seeing tons of speaker announcements of people I have never heard of, and I've been in Bitcoin/crypto (yes dear purists, I am eclectic) since 2011. That is the very reason I have shunned conferences in recent years. Or is this speaker from before that time?

I'm better than everyone else who is in bitcoin after 2011. Oh dear... Yes please continue shunning, you probably won't be missed.

Not what I said. 🙃

clearly not

Did you read the title of the keynote? It's about onboarding. 😀 It's only logical that they would choose someone who has just experienced it.

The best people to explain to newcomers "How to navigate the onboarding maze" is people who have just done it, no? She will not be teaching Nostr to developers, but understanding and getting started with Nostr to normies, or people coming from Twitter, or whatever. Why would she have to be a Bitcoiner from 2011 for that? Who would be better suited for this than someone that the audience can identify with?

And the reason we see more and more people who we've never heard of before, is because the ecosystem is growing and bringing more and more people in. Isn't that what we all want? Do you realy want to just hear from the same old people again and again?

No I don't, however, the space has become a grifters paradise, and so I have become more wary.
