The amount donated is meaningful in itself, but that's not the most interesting part of the announcement. The fact that 5 million is to go towards #Bitcoin development and 5 million is to go towards #Nostr development. That means they're equally important. And, we all know how important Bitcoin will be to the future of the world, right? That's how important Nostr can be if we work hard enough. Wild. 🤯 When people realize this, they'll come, and we'll be ready.
They’re very synergistic. While I try to value things in sats that number always moves. I always thought it would be difficult to gauge different fiats to sats as bitcoin monetizes.
A few days of zapping and I know what 21/42/500/5K/15K sats equates in my local fiat, and I feel better exchanging value having experienced this. Nostr really has a chance of boosting the circular economy beyond what I imagined.
Making Sats become your unit of account is hard, but doable.
