Good morning, #nostriches!

I have a new phone. I'm not using it yet as I haven't transfered my Sim card yet. There's no LineageOS support for it yet, and gosh, android 14 is great and also horrible at the same time. It took half an hour just to disable all the Google apps, which I know is not as secure as running a custom rom, but I need a phone with a battery that can last more than a few hours since I will not be able to access charging at all times during my vacation. (I'm typing this while the phone is plugged in.)

The used phone market is a mess. A couple of years ago, I bought this phone for a very reasonable price, used, and it's served me very well. I may try my hand at replacing the battery to have it as a spare and also as a monitoring solution for my solar system.

I'm just rambling at this point. It's most morning and I don't want to start the mess at work, as I have a lot of sloppy welding and grinding to do. Engineers can be really dumb. 🤮
