It could work for some but the way they are pitching it and sounding like holy messiahs is not my cup of tea. You need recurring revenue to keep businesses running. Sure, if it’s a type of thing you don’t need to provide support for, go ahead and price it once. But support doesn’t pay for itself.

The idea is you pay for hosting but only the cost of hosting. I’d imagine you pay for upgrades too but only if you want it.
