As far as I understand Oman isn't the third country to mine Bitcoin. They attracted a mining farm and the minister Eng Said Hamoud al Maawali made a statement, this is akin to a government attracting a new company and officials getting some credits for offering a competitive and innovative place.

The farm isn't property of the government, nor does the government intend to hold Bitcoin on their Treasury.

Still a good news, but far from the catching headlines
