Is the argument that itโ€™s more private therefore harder to identify the user so itโ€™s harder to apply violence on the user?

Well, more private by default. Bitcoin can get really private if you know what you are doing, like Samourai self-hosted through Tor, but still not as quite good from my understanding. Though if BTC jas reached that level of privacy, amazing! Monero being de-listed more often, or so I hear, is a good sign its quite disliked by establishment.

Obviously its no silver bullet and cannot protect people from every poor decision, but it does work well with little effort.
