Many people on the internet are bad examples of how to engage in discourse with people you disagree with.

I have disagreements with pretty much all of my friends but they are still my friends and I try to understand their perspective. Different perspectives are a valuable source of entropy.

We need good examples. Many plebs lack good role models or examples. They attack people who are intellectually honest because of a scared tribal mindset. They appeal to authority figures and default to their opinions instead of accepting nuance. The look for confirmation of their opinions instead of questioning them.

As a result, a pleb is cannon fodder and is easily taken advantage of.

I don’t care to spend time with plebs or explain very basic concepts to them because it’s not productive.

I choose to spend time with pioneers who can understand and appreciate what I’m talking about, even if they disagree with me.

I've never learned a thing from someone with whom I completely agreed.
