#startsmall is all about starting small.

Besides, small tools & ideas can have multiplying effects. The application takes a few minutes, and ifits's rejected, I'm sure you'll get very useful feedback.

Doesn't necessarily matter. If you have unique and useful product ideas, a grant might help you to hire a dev to have them implemented. It can also help cover general life costs.
