I think my favourite thing about bitcoin, the thing that gives me greatest hope, is that it allows us to say this to the world:

“I don’t care what happens next. I don’t care who you vote for. I don’t care what politician or bureaucrat makes an arbitrary rule or law that’s supposed to bind me to whatever fate your unhinged mind dreams up. Bitcoin gives me freedom. Come and stop me if you dare.”
