IDK why some folks excuse Google shutting down service for the first 2 Nest thermostats as "well it's IoT, you shouldn't expect it to last".
It's a fucking thermostat. I damn well expect it to last and be supported as long as a thermostat normally is.
Honeywell manages this. My current Emerson manages this. Both of them are thermostat companies first, technology second.
So how come the tech-first company is fucking abysmal at tech longevity besides being worthless at tech?
