The “Nothing to hide” argument regarding privacy is a fallacy that takes for granted the good intentions of those in positions of authority and power

I have everything to hide. It’s called privacy. And I choose what I wish to show. Fuck this BS !

It’s why history is such an important subject

It’s also disingenuous because the authorities do so much in secret themselves.

“Public” servants they are not.

It just means “I haven’t yet fathomed ways people can use knowledge about me in way I wouldn’t approve of”

If politicians relinquish their privacy to me, I'll relinquish my privacy to them

If the government had nothing to hide they wouldn't avoid a public ledger.
