It's become evident to me that Charlie Kirk's wife and children were present. I did not think, at the time, that they would have been present, but they were.

I can't imagine, therefore I can't even sympathize nor empathize (I did watch my father die but we all knew it was coming and were at least prepared for it).

Knowing this now might as well be seeing it all over again for the first time.

That makes it all the more tragic. How do you explain any of it to a 3 year old?

You can't. I can only hope they were at a distance. Like far, far away . . . at the back of the crowd.

Yeah me too. I saw the video and wish that I could unsee it.

It will probably be the three year old’s earliest memory and will confuse and fuck him up his whole life. it’s a shame when a child is forced to grapple with the random evil in the world that young.

That video is not going away. At some point in time both of those children will look into media about their dad. They will stumble upon it and they will be scarred for life. Hopefully they will be older when it happens. I don’t know that I would be able to stomach the world if such a video existed where one of my family members was assassinated.

i even heard one of his daughters ran toward him when the sound of the gun scared her...
