Yeah, I hear this for decades now... started with the phones, then laptops, now with EVs. Still I don't see anywhere the commercially alternative to Li-ion. I only see promises, meanwhile we are polluting heavily the poor part of the world and singing everywhere that "this is the future"... It's peak FIAT scam.

The car industry was done innovating strict internal combustion. Hybrid tech coming from F1 made it clear electric engines are more efficient in many ways. Just that we don't have an efficient fuel cell for electric energy yet doesn't mean EVs are bad. Your original note was a fallacy, prove me wrong.

I'm not living in the future, I'm living in the present where EVs are way more polluting than the modern combustion engine cars. Until this is not changed I don't fall for the EV trap. I'm ready to accept that the EVs are good when the "magical" green fuel cell will be invented and affordable for commercial use.
