In my opinion this is a necessary discussion. The beauty of Nostr is that it makes you aware of your freedom and if something limits it you have to know it.

I don’t like the way this turned into a discussion about funding, that is another issue that is very challenging for Nostr, but agree the technical discussion is definitely necessary.
I didn’t realise how reliant on centralised infrastructure Primal was until I saw Will’s comments yesterday and tested myself confirming that Primal stops working if it can’t talk to the cache. While that might be an acceptable trade off to many people to get a very smooth experience, I’m sure that a lot of people using it don’t realise this or understand the implications.
