Is there ever a time that you 100% will not need to access your money?

I just realized that is not a one-liner...
All good, it's the idea behind it that matters
Banks don't even think is your money.
The second you make a deposit is theirs and then you have to ask very politely and with a big please to have it back and prove you are you. Finally they consider the convenience.
You don't have a deposits, you have a number that they might allow you to have back if you ask really nicely and comply.
