Just watched the #filmstr, Children of Men (2006).

It’s a dystopian movie set in 2027. The United Kingdom has become a police state with a homelessness rampant flooded by immigrants. Also, there is a high percentage of women who are unable to have children as infertility rates rise.

Let’s just pray and hope this isn’t the future for UK in 4 years time.

Anyways was actually a decent film with interesting story line. 😃

I saw it in theaters and then never saw it again. I’d like to give it a rewatch.

I remember there are 1 or 2 really good tracking shots

I was only a kid when it came out. I never heard of it until today funnily enough.

Love that movie, it's really well done. The car chase and tank battle shots are superbly done.

Great dystonpian film with many great long-take scenes. Masterpiece.🔥

Fantastic filmmaking. The refugee camp scene is primo. And strawberry cough makes me laugh every time 😂

One of the few films I've watched multiple times.

Scary stuff.

Yeh it was very similar to Covid lockdown vibes. Scary.

Sounds like reality !!

This one was tough. I enjoyed it but also had a few gripes, which I now don’t remember, with it.

This movie fucks hard

Lol yep.

I found that film quite moving at the end, where everyone in the middle of fighting their pointless battle hears the cry, and they all stop. They now *know* that's hope, even if very slim. There's a chance, and that matters.

There is humanity in all of us. And for all the attention and fuss made about how bad we can be - and holy moly can humans be bad - there is an equal measure of beauty and grace right there in us too.

yeh it was an interesting scene. I wasn’t sure what to make of it.

They were fighting because they could only see sadness, anger, and fear of the only thing left to look forward to - death.

Then, there was something new that changed everything, immediately.
