being that i'm early on this i laugh in their general direction... you should see how much it actually costs to push and pull data from these shitcoin databases... haha...

let's just say that the best they can offer in practice is fast replication, which is all that a blockchain can do... there's nutters trying to build whole relays as smart contracts, would you believe it? haha... losers... they will have fun staying poor paying 50 sats just to pull their feed and 10 sats every time they make a post and their relays user count will scale at best to about 100 users before it starts to really get slow

it is unbelievable that they don't get it... i had a very heated disagreement with a colleague at my work who was a smart contract coder who didn't understand the fundamental differences between how a nostr relay works and how a blockchain works, drove me frickin nuts, the worst of it was that i'm a #golang programmer and if you say "just build it in a smart contract" i'm out of a job actually, the whole reason i was hired was to build a fast, stable, and performant relay! not a fucking smart contract, or he could do it

my relay puts new events in the database in a matter of milliseconds, theirs takes 3-5 seconds
