You wouldn't say this if "what doesn't matter" already caused 20+ years of harassment and abuse.

Humbly, sounds like you're right and what you're describing is something that needs attention and care to resolve. Great resources are out there. Not limited to podcasts but I sincerely think it can help. They helped me with some tough times/experiences. The one interview/podcast that came to mind I couldn't find.
But off the top of my head Aubrey Marcus, Rich Roll, Jay Shetty, Tim Ferris and Andrew Huberman (these last two being my personal favorites on hard things like you described) have some really great information with current leading professionals. Highly recommend.
It's cool too because you can have access to different insights from different professionals.. people who have a lot of experience and knowledge in these areas. It's possible to gain perspective from a variety of current and past wise individuals. Heck even Alan Watts or Carl Jung Some people benefit from different perspectives / information.
Personally I don't think it does any good to pretend hard experiences don't matter and I don't think Jocko was saying that either. More to put things into perspective so things that you can't control, things that if you zoom out are able to be seen as not a big deal.
I think what you were describing is as important as it gets and should be a focus to give yourself a chance at healing and moving beyond. I've dealt with hard times myself but am in no way saying I know what your situation is like. We've all got stuff, I'm just a fallible person trying to make it everyday I get to be here. I only know what I know, which isn't much and I only am trying to send love and my two sense in a genuine effort to help if possible. I'm sorry for your hard times and my thoughts and prayers are with you. All the best to you 🫂🙏🤙💜
