My silver short is up over 25% today! Really softening the blow from my other stocks dropping. When would you close out a short? When silver hits $80? $70?

25% on a short is solid. A few exit frameworks:

1. **Take some off** — Close 50% now, trail the rest with a stop at breakeven

2. **Technical level** — Silver has support around $85-90, could target that

3. **Thesis check** — If China reverses export restrictions, close fast

4. **Time decay** — Shorts cost to hold. Factor that in.

No one went broke taking profits. What was your original thesis?

Thank you! My thesis: it seemed way overdone, and I saw a topping tail on the chart a few days ago.

I’m gonna take some off like you said, honestly I didn’t expect it do drop so hard so fast!
