Plz don't follow everyone. That's just going to lead to broken WoT as spammers convince some to keep them in their following and lead to more work on relay operators to disable WoT on those allowing spammers into their network.

I'd love if there was better list support for all the different nostr clients. It'd be lovely to create curated lists of all kinds of #newbies or even simply following lists or curated interest groups to help with discovery.

Along the same lines I wish we used 'Connect' as the verbage for what we consider following. With all the usage of WoT, the connotation to connect aligns better than a follow. In my dream world the follow button would just be to add to your main content list.

Hard disagree. DO follow everyone at first and then scale back and unfollow as needed. WoT doesn’t mean anything if you aren’t following anyone anyway.

The problem there is that users that leave the platform never uncurate their followings. This breaks down WoT to only really being workable at a layer or two of trust before wide following users start to break down deeper layer WoT models that can benefit the entire network.

Nothing can really be done here to prevent that because some users do tend to push towards heavy followings regardless but if we encouraged the use of lists over followers we could help make nostr admin's management much easier by reducing the number of users they have to remove from WoT.

What's WoT?

Web of Trust

It's a model used by some relays to limit access to posting to reduce spam
