I'm excited to announce that on August 14th at 6pm, I am organizing a bitcoin meetup to bring together bitcoiners and nuclear professionals!

During the week of August 14th, I’ll be in DC attending a meeting with many of my colleagues in the nuclear industry, and I’m using this opportunity to start educating them more directly on the benefits of bitcoin mining for nuclear.

Miners can quickly go from initial deployment to full scale operation, can be a buyer of first, or last resort, and can precisely balance grid loads by soaking up excess generation or curtailing in response to grid demand side stress.

I am hopeful that this meetup will serve as the starting point for many nuclear professionals to investigate bitcoin more deeply.
