You're nostr client downloads new events when you boot it up.
Yeah, but we could benefit by a nostr client that could download the important stuff without consuming more than 5MB/day.
Its a bit nuts that Amethyst eats through so much data as it does.
You don't ever *have* to answer your phone, or a text, or anything...it's not mandatory! 😃
turn off notifications, check at x y and z time or just at x time daily. people can wait for a response. and you can wait to reply. 💘
i leave the emails in the other machine. i have to stand up and walk a few steps to open the emails. huge productivity boost! also cycles of standing and sitting is better for lower back, compared to sitting or standing all the time.
Still do, but since my workload no longer resolves around email I sometimes go a week without reading it at all.
I also deliberately don't have access to my (non-Blockstream) email on mobile.
the internet was more fun when it was something that you log into rather than something you have in your pocket.
