I think the reality will be Whole Foods integrating bitcoin payments. I didnāt do it but you can pay for McDonalds in bitcoin in El Salvador.
Is that still the case?
Laws have changed quite a bit
Was looking into this for a startup I am working on. Ibex does payment integration for these kind of retail establishments. I paid for water and coffee at the Hilton in San Salvador in Bitcoin and realized I am just pumping Paris Hiltons stack.
I'd be surprised if they didn't have it auto convert to dollars
Meh. As much as we like to speculate on the cuck dollar debt game, Some people do get it, Sort of. It is different coming from a perspective of building wealth vs preserving it. Bitcoin is making owning a vineyard in Paonia economically viable for you. Someone from a developing country would trade their lives with their family to be you. But people like the Hiltons need to think about how to go to a developing economy and build wealth there. A little bit of FIAT, A little bit of Bitcoin. One persons terrorist is another personās freedom fighter.
