I would say fear and hatred won yesterday. All the anti-trans stuff wasn’t exactly misogyny, and definitely not about racism.

The pandemic (and a fair amount of corporate greed) caused inflation. A lot of that’s on Trump. Biden actually got it back down near the 2% Fed target. But the way inflation works - prices don’t go back down when the inflation is over. Consumer confidence and spending are back up - so saying the election was about inflation is just wrong.

And (sadly) no one really cares about the wars - Americans aren’t dying. So not about that either.

It was just about fear and hate. Which is really sad.

~whatever~ excuse they can have to hate & to make up reasons why they are right, better, more entitled… they will keep making up lies for this (non-citizen/no id voting, trans ideology overrunning the country, haitians eating pets, anything) and it works with these hateful people.

it’s very, very sad.

self-destructive and spiteful towards others…then violent towards others.
