Venerable Anthony of Iezeru, born into wealth, renounced it all to embrace monasticism at Iezeru. He lived in a small cave, dedicating himself to prayer and fasting. Skilled in calligraphy and a lover of books, he transcribed many manuscripts, enriching the monastic library. His wisdom and humility drew many to seek his counsel. Despite his desire for solitude, he accepted the responsibility of leading the monastery, guiding his brethren with love and spiritual insight. He reposed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of piety and devotion.
