I need your help. I woke up this morning thinking about the post Texas slim put out.
I'm trying to come up with something to mail your representatives (in the US). I'm not really a believer that federal politicians are going to do anything to help us. I do believe that they want to remain in power more than anything.
Let me know what you think about this, and what should be changed to make it more effective. Hell, I'm sure that someone here can write one up much better than this that can be blasted out to the representatives

As Congress works to avoid government shutdowns, and appropriate funding to the Rural Development budget which includes SNAP, WIC, EBT and Agricultural related agencies that serve
an integral role in the U.S. food chain, the USDA is discussing a herd-share ban that would limit
consumer access to nutrient-dense locally grown meat -harming family-owned farms, US food security, and the people's options during this economy with high inflation.
Herd-share is the last legal means for consumers to buy locally raised grass-fed beef, directly from their
nearest farm. This is the last line of defense for decentralized cattle, farm-to-table, and we have the science to prove the closer our food is grown to our kitchen tables, the healthier it is for our bodies and our environment.
A USDA ban would not only jeopardize our supply chain, but it would also signal the end of rural
America and the beginning of a centralized meat industry similar to the monopolistic circumstances
prompting the Packers and Stockyard Act of 1921. As America becomes more questionable in its food security the reliance on just major meat packers and producers does nothing to help the citizens only those corporate interests.
I fully support Congressman Massie's amendment, preemptively securing America's farm-to-table
supply chain, and urgently call upon members of both houses to do the same. As well as convincing those around too.
The Beef Initiative is a collaborative co-op, uniting savvy consumers with environmentally conscious
farmers to complete the farm-to-table cycle, and keep rural communities thriving. As an election cycle is upon us it's time to show your constituents showing strong support for the American people, and not just corporate interests.
Respectfully,
