America is the only relevant country that I’m aware of which taxes you for being American. I think there are two others in the world that do it but can’t remember their names. If you had Canadian citizenship, you could just go live in Argentina and not have to pay taxes to the Canadian government anymore. They won’t come after you like the IRS does. So “opting out” is doable for non Americans. Land of the free right? 😂
