No problem! I have to say it works really well.
Hard to say, but this might be the cleanest workaround.

Surprised its not a more popular option really.
Yeah, I might not recommend this as the first option for a newbie (zapple pay might be more appropriate for that audience), but if you’re willing to do some extra work this is it, imho.
remember, you also have to trust that the build is what I say it is. I’m trying to be transparent by showing what’s changed on git… this is true with any open source build on the App Store or test flight, what ships could be different. One could do even more work and build the ipa themselves (then load through altstore). https://medium.com/mλgnξtλr/how-to-export-a-ipa-file-from-xcode-without-a-dev-account-bac8b2645ad3
I’m hoping damus with get nsecbunker support or I might have to figure out how to add that or bounty someone to write that in.

as far as new people goes, you 100% although as things get more convenient Im not sure what the right path is. Probably getting a nip 07 extension set up. A browser extension for pwas and copying lnbc into strike or cashapp is probably a prerequisite to understanding what nostr wallet connect or zapple pay is doing on your behalf. There might be some benefit to slowly unlocking these things in a client specifically written for new people. Both for retention but also to simulate the journey.
That’s a very good point regarding trusting the build
