Why is it that some people in the Philippines have never heard of bitcoin

maybe just 20-40% people who know bitcoin
and 2-4% people who hold bitcoin
I tried to send bitcoin to someone in the Philippines to start a movement. Not only had they never heard of it. But strike isn’t available there. Jack advertising sending there but it just send it to there bank account. The strike app isn’t even available in the Philippines
