If you understand #bitcoin properly (and not with the fake free market principles) then you can just see here how easy (& cheap) it is to do a DoS attack by spamming the blockchain with junk data.
Run knots instead of the #bitcoin core to disincentivize this behavior.

You could potentially prevent a lot of monetary txs going into these blocks by replacing them in the name of Runes or Inscriptions or any other jpeg bullshit and most of the bitcoiners would keep saying that it's a free market and whoever pays the highest fees gets the place in the block.
Note that states could potentially use these jpegs and runes to create DoS attack and it may be too late before most of the bitcoiners realize this.
Moreover, if you are noderunner then it's also wasting your resources along with lot of other noderunners' resources so, this would basically be considered abuse.
