This post does 2 things for me:

1. As I read it, I see all the ways that the LLM is influencing my emotions and potentially my opinions, and possibly giving me an unrequested dopamine hit.

2. I told Perplexity what Absolute mode is, and quoted the entire post. Now all I have to do is prompt the LLM to use Absolute Mode to answer my question or write me a poem or whatever.

I tested Perplexity with and without on the same query,

“Write me a poem in the style of Rumi about the veil of illusion.”

It was a relief to be getting the goods without the manipulation and hype.
