there has been some talk lately they might be able to break SHA-256

(I know it is not likely and the rest of the world is fucked if they do manage to break it as well)

wouldn’t multisig be an extra layer of security as well? I mean, if the quantum computers manage to find the seeds etc, how would they know which seeds are in a multisig together?

or am I way off?

We are far off from quantum computing, it is sci-fi like NASA and their faked moon landings.
