Yeah it's a full "bundle node."

I think this is a great way to introduce people to running nodes because they can see the full potential of what running a node gets them.

Cool. So if I want to self host everything - photos, media, etc. - and not be reliant on iCloud for a backup, something like Start9 is the answer? Pretty new to this but fascinated 🧐

Correct. You can run Syncthing and Nextcloud for your own cloud server.

You can run Vaultwarden which lets you host your own Bitwarden instance.

You can host Gitea to have "your own GitHub" so to speak.

You can run LNBits and BTCPayServer to sell stuff for Bitcoin and a lot more.

You can run a lightning node of course.

You can run your own Nostr relay.

You can run a local instance of Mempool.

You can run encrypted messengers including ones integrated with lightning like Sphinx Chat.

You can sell access to files.

You can use Joinmarket with a friendly UX.

You can run your own media server.

Your own search engine.

Your own blog.

Robosats locally.

And more.

Exactly! (so don't need Umbrel)

So pretty much anything I could imagine lol

This is awesome. When you say “run robosats locally” what would that look like? Meaning instead of connecting to another robot via the RS server?

Any significant downsides to the self hosted setup (other than technical understanding/difficulty level)? How about backups for all your data in case of fire or flood?
