My uni wifi seems to be blocking a lot of connectivity.

I cant even zap properly on the uni wifi

If you know how to deal with linux. Use something similar to this[1] and install wiregaurd and have your own vpn server for around $5 a month. Theres plenty of cheap servers on herzner. Takes less than 20mins to set up everything with a script.

Yes i know. But rather, i just use my mobile internet.

I cant even access sci hub on uni wifi

Uni wifis are usually shit. That’s why its better to keep your own vpn handy. Some unis are smart and they block ip ranges for most well known vpn providers.

By setting up your own vpn it gets harder for them to do anything.
