These services are great, but we need competition.

I'm not sure I'm on board with Fold. They have a monster spread when you sell - so you are actually paying a MUCH bigger fee for this bill pay than what you think because when they sell your Bitcoin to make the US$ payment you are paying a HUGE spread between market value of #Bitcoin and Fold price.

I did several comparisons with Strike, it was about 2% spread.

I tried Strike and Fold for bill pay - I'm back to my checking account - where I control the sell in Strike, then I have to move the money to my checking (I can pay directly out of Strike but then I need to keep cash stash in my fiat bank account and strike).

I agree there is work to be done to get to a perfect solution, but don’t let that prevent you from using a couple of services that are good enough. Only by supporting these services will they have the recourses to improve. If the price I pay to help slay fiat is a 2% spread then sign me up.

Well, I think they should have the option of the spread, or paying the fee (with full disclosure).

My issue is the deceptive process of making money.

I also understand the average person sees the fees and they don't want to pay them.

It's a tough situation - display fees and lose business, or trick people into paying fees they don't understand.

I have always thought there should be full disclosure, offer both types of services.

I’m with you Fred on the disclosures of fees. I don’t begrudge them charging for a service but it’s nice to know what you are paying for so you can accurately compare offerings.
