Thinking about dropping my VPS and using an old MacBook a1181 as a little home server. That might make running email a pain but I find myself using my Tutanota address more often anyways. I'll have to do a little testing first to see how things work.

Have thought about doing something like that but didn't after calculating costs of electricity when old laptop runs 24/7.

I actually never got around to doing it myself. I have been thinking about picking up a Raspberry Pi or similar to use as a little home server instead. But, I haven't got around to that either.
