In the medium & long term, I think the US will have a tremendous amount of bridge building to do, and VOA will be very important to that.

In a way, the challenge is how to keep the brand safe, in the short term, for posterity.

Lake’s editorial policies will be completely at odds with what VOA has been doing in recent years. Staff will either follow her rules or resign or be fired. Hard choices.
