Actually, for that one I need Google to code it for Jetpack Compose. :( it's funny how complicated that becomes when you get into it.
But there is also a privacy risk of using these keyboard Gifs (a single url everyone re shares) to track people around.
Plebstr used to have a GIF button.
Nostur has it too and it searches Tenor and inserts the associated gif link into your post. The alternative is that users manually search tenor and giphy and Google, etc, and paste the links into their posts, so I don’t think the privacy argument holds water. Users who are THAT concerned won’t use it anyway. And users who aren’t are already doing it but annoyed that their preferred client doesn’t give them a good UX for it.
