Yes, we got swamped in AI hype. But with this I clearly dare say that the new google gemini pro 2.5 with deep research is a desk researcher and consultant in your pocket.

This is the time where you underestimate the capacity and velocity of these tools. I did.

Don’t sleep on it, do one query.

It will be crucial for people to have, run and own their AI and data. But the frontier capabilities are proprietary now and it’s worth it to learn from it.

Lets make very sure to build the open source and self-hosted AI tools.

I have been playing around with ChatGPT plus using the projects feature. I have really enjoyed it. I have seen some talk about using Gemini 2.5 with NotebookLM. I am keen to try but need to find the right project.

What makes the project feature special to you? Haven’t really used it much yet. I tried o3 for language learning yesterday. I think passed the threshold

It’s the promise that the folder used for the project at hand somehow restricts or directs more explicitly the focus of what the user is trying to achieve. I guess it’s a container of sorts that provides focus. Keen to see if there is some advantage. I see Claude has a similar feature. Will
