Gboard is best imo, just turn off network access.
Trying not to use anything that uses play services
Doesn't use play services. Install with aurora store which uses random Gmail account. To be honest I find most apps just work without ps, some flash up warnings saying the need ps but work anyway. Only small number of location specific things like bike share apps seem to refuse to run.
