Whatever you try to convince him of will register with him that you claim he may have been wrong about something. (IMPOSSiBLE!) He has to come up with a contrary claim because he already convinced himself (and others) that he could not have made a mistake in the past (failure is impossible somehow). So what you see is him working very hard to keep his truth his truth by claiming everyone else must be wrong. The arguments are what we keep hearing over and over, like a mantra, to keep his lie real to himself. Only to dig his own hole deeper and deeper... Sad...
