nostr:npub1el3mgvtdjpfntdkwq446pmprpdv85v6rs85zh7dq9gvy7tgx37xs2kl27ryes if you look up the event id and give it to this service: https://nostr-delete.vercel.app/ It will push the delete event for the dm event out to peers and most will drop them. You could write up a nostr service that deletes all of your dm’s over x days old. ;-D

Thanks friend 💜

What nostr:npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240 have said schould works but i just want to add:

Don't take that for granted.....

Never stops a admin relay to make backups every hour for example and restore that backups when they want.

nostr:npub1k3dv5zwuuk5a3tee7kc3ducxhfdeeut4649enmmlu393fctkmlhqeck7dv is right, there’s no way to know for sure that a relay will honor the delete request. This is the same with centralized services. We could make some sort of check to make sure relays stop sharing content that the author requested be deleted, but that doesn’t exist yet. Still I think this is much better than systems where delete is impossible, like scuttlebutt.
